Hello all developers,
We need to figure out our inventory of skills so we can think of what language we can take on this project with. (Can't do this all in C# or Python if only half of us know it.) If you could, please fill out this little survey so we can take figure out what we have.
Name: Email: (Optional)
Development System: (What are you developing on? Linux, Windows, Mac?) Preferred Language: (C#, Python, C, Javascript, Fortan, etc. Please pick one.) Comfortable Languages: (Pick as many as you want) IDE: (What is your tool of trade? Visual Studio, Notepad++, Eclipse) Most Enjoyable Part: (What do you like doing the most? Core System, AI, Physics, Stats, etc) Time Available: (How many hours per week do you think you could do this?) Other Notes: (Anything else you want to tell about yourself.)

Development System: Linux Mint probably, Windows laptop been doing a lot of work lately though. Preferred Language: Python Comfortable Languages: C++, Objective-C, Javascript IDE: Usually pluma or notepad++ for simplicity's sake Most Enjoyable Part: Would love to do AI but wouldn't mind doing some stats or animation. Time Available: 10 hours/week? Other Notes: Would prefer something OO, even if I don't know it. Also would rather portability to both mac/windows (would love to see linux portability but I'm sure it's a dream). I think it would be better qualitatively to not make this a browser game.

Development System: Mac Preferred Language: Java Comfortable Languages: Java, C++, Javascript IDE: Sublime Text 2, Eclipse Most Enjoyable Part: Physics! Time Available: 5-10 hours/week Other Notes: Not done anything this big before. Would be cool to do it in HTML5, otherwise I think Java would be an option to make it platform independent.

Name: Simon Development System: Windows Preferred Language: C++ Comfortable Languages: C/C++, Java/C#, reluctantly Javascript if you really want to make a HTML5 thing of this... IDE: Visual Studio, Eclipse Most Enjoyable Part: Core System Time Available: I can't say at this point. Other Notes: Since we have 5 developers and 3 systems already, I think we should use Java or HTML5, or stick to Windows (largest userbase). We shouldn't start to try multiplatform stuff in C++ or something. Read more: newzproject.boards.net/thread/20/software-developer-list#ixzz2LFvpp3Fr
