So, if we decide to use an instrument in our Zelda, what instrument should it be? We need to think of something thats unique, and not too mainstream. For example, I'd have a hard time believing that the Zelda era would have a guitar, let alone would I struggle to buy that it had magical powers.

I like those! My personal favorites are the Lute and the Dulcimer.

I kinda like the idea of Link playing a flute.

I kinda like the idea of Link playing a flute. Yeah, that reminds me of the classic Link's warp whistle, I like that too. I've always liked wind instruments. Also, what if, for whatever instrument it ends up being, you have to (In a rather simple sense of the term) actually play it, in that certain keys equate certain notes on a piano (Like Garageband's virtual keyboard!) And you have to play the first six notes of a song relatively close to accurate for it to work. That would also leave some room for awesome free styling xD.

We could place tons of easter eggs by adding that feature. Just imagine someone randomly deciding to play the first few notes of a popular song and being warped to a bonus level or obtaining a secret item.

Exactly! Actually playing it would leave so much room for cool easter eggs like that!
