If we really wanted to make this in depth, we could create our own Hylian. I have no clue how to make a font but it could turn out pretty cool.

I have no clue how to make a font but it could turn out pretty cool. considering the game will be a 2d top down view (like link's awakening, oracle games) it might be hard to make a sign that is legible in the game unless you had something like where it would pop up a full version when you went up the the sign and hit a button. There are already a few versions of the hylian font out there, im sure we could use one of them or maybe edit it to be our own. here is a good resource for zelda fonts: www.zeldalegends.net/index.php?n=fonts

I have experience making fonts. I'll work on it. Rather than having a sign, why not an NPC that speaks only in Hylian and you have to clear a dungeon to find an item that helps you translate Hylian. Just a thought.

Just a thought. Thats a good idea! I'd like that. Perhaps it could even be part of the story that you have to conquer a language barrier to continue in the game, and the Dungeon that holds the book could be an ancient abandoned library!
