So, I've been hard at work this past week, but I spent today trying to keep in gear with this awesome project. First and foremost, I've made the two addition Link sides needed for the top-down 2D style of this game. Secondly, I made some roughs of some all to familiar enemies. In order of left to right, we have Wizzrobe, Dark Wizzrobe, and Octorok. And finally, I did a rough animation of Dark Link based off of the awesome story (that I wrote most of *COUGH* Here: newzproject.boards.net/thread/23/origin-dark-link ) Let me know what you guys think! I'll try to get some more animations done for Link and the enemies, and I'll update every time I sketch something new!

Very nice. Just curious, about how long does one of those take?

Very nice. Just curious, about how long does one of those take? Thanks! And hmmm. Well, I drew and animated Dark Link in about half an hour, but it took a bit of time to tediously enlarge the image (so it wouldn't be tiny on the forum) without blurring it. An average enemy probably takes twenty minutes, and then another twenty for each animation (as in movement, not as in frame.)

Reminds me of sword and sworcery quite a lot in terms of style (that game was absolutely beautiful btw), those sprites look utterly fantastic! Just an idea in terms of getting things rolling, maybe work on some environmental sprites/tiles before anything else, just to get people working on producing maps with them (and then everyone working on it can get going sooner, would boost productivity) although obviously this will probably take some time they wouldn't have to be perfect either as they're just for the purpose of fleshing out potential areas. Not meant as being forceful or anything like that as obviously it's your own time and effort but just an idea

I'll try to make some basic Tilesets my next project. You were not being forceful at all, thanks for the input! It's just what I needed to be reminded, because I would have gone on this whole enemy making tangent, and I should save that for later.

And I suppose you can think of it as getting the less interesting bits out the way so when the real meat of the project starts happening you're not stuck doing the least exciting part
